DEMAND GROWS FOR BEACH TOWN POSTERS AS REINVENTED AMERICAN RESORT STYLES HIT RUNWAYS AND INTERIORS

OCEAN CITY, Md. -- With turquoise named the "fashion color for 2010" and runways sporting garments inspired by vintage resort wear, forward-thinking fashion and interior designers are looking to the beaches of yesteryear for ideas.

The renewed interest in classic resort style has spiked a demand for Aurelio Grisanty's Beach Town Posters, an original line of vintage-inspired Art Deco posters celebrating American beach towns. "We have had much more interest from the U.S. and overseas for Beach Town Posters," said Grisanty's business partner, Clare Conley. "In the past couple of months, we shipped prints to Europe, Canada and Australia."

OCEAN CITY, Md. Many people think they know coastal New Jersey from the outrageous stereotypes portrayed in the MTV reality show Jersey Shore. Internationally acclaimed artist Aurelio Grisanty, who has spent months traveling around the beaches of New Jersey gathering inspiration for his Beach Town Posters, wants the world to know the 'real Jersey Shore'.

"When I visit the Jersey shore, I see majestic lighthouses, historical homes, stunning beaches and wildlife sanctuaries, great live music and food, and towns where generations of families share wonderful memories," says the noted painter and graphic artist. "It's truly unfortunate that MTV chose to portray the New Jersey shore in a negative light, because that's not the 'real' Jersey shore."
